About Mac
Mac' Chandler is supposedly retired. At the end of 2022 I moved from Rochester MI to the milder climate of North Carolina and a condo without steps much more suited to my age. (75 as I write this)
Writing is still fun and I intend to continue as long as my mind stays fresh. I'm not a expert on English or a skilled grammarian but I love to tell a story. I thank all the people who take a moment to tell me they enjoyed my work.
Nothing for months, then Bam! Now I wont get any sleep tonight. 😀
Excellent book.
I read it in one sitting. In fact it triggered me to read The family law series. (again)
As usual I eagerly look forward to the next book.
Congratulations Mac’!
Well done!
An enjoyable book, and I found Jeff Singh’s conflict over how much force to use in retaliation against the United States believable and interesting. I’ve nominated this volume for the Prometheus Award.
Thank you. I had a previous nomination and felt honored.
This one was really good
Congrats. Another great Tale, filled with so much to ponder
Thoroughly enjoyed it, thanks Mac
The best thing about a new Chandler book is it give me an excuse to reread the entire series.
I don’t know what it is about your mad skillz, Mac, but you’re one of the few authors I can read over and over and enjoy the stories more every time, even though I’ve got ‘em pretty much memorized by now.
1/2 way though April 2 and savoring every moment. Heather’s atomic Bofors … priceless.
Thanks for the great stories. Looking forward to whatever you come up with next!
Another great installment. I read it at a sitting, but was disappointed when it ended, because I wanted more! More of April and Jeff and Heather, more of Eileen and her wish to emigrate to Home, and hey, where’s Eddie Persico lately? Love it, rated it 5 stars on Amazon, but c’mon, Mac, get cracking on the next one.
thank you for letting us see Eileen’s path to space. Please hurry up and get her there. I am not getting any younger. LOL
Yep, a good one, and like many others I’m sure when there’s a new one I read them all again. Yes to Sandra’s post! Eileen and Vic and Alice I really want to see where they go!.
Mac,
As I mentioned, yours is one of the few series I love rereading periodically.
Enjoying the Family Law series for the ____ time and came across a minor continuity error in book three, chapter 24:
“She looked up Singh Industries. The list included shipbuilding and leasing, lunar tunneling and cubic management, food industries and industrial materials, leasing of heavy equipment and even banking. There was the System Bank, the System Bank of Central, and the System Bank of Central at Camelot. There was even a casino.”
But in the recent April book Jeff sold off Camelot, and the casino, so …
Still, couldn’t enjoy it any less! Looking forward to whatever you come up with next.
I’ll look at that when I’m functioning better than today. – Mac’
I am another old guy who has been reading scifi since the middle 60s. I love your work, have it all, and I follow you on Amazon. I’m hoping to be able to purchase it all again as audible or some other platform. Thanks for the stories, they are just the thing for an old ancap like me.
Another word for Magic audio book just dropped.
About the next April book (14), is it too soon to say… Are We There Yet?
We’re still sitting reading the map.
I’m in the middle of both moving and getting a big old kidney stone removed. I have to get a stent out too because it was an obstructing stone. I have three books started but no promises which gets done first or when. – Mac’
Oh my I’ve read that kidney stones are extremely painful and my son said his certainly was. Get better soon. It’s hard to do much of anything when you’re in pain.
Eagerly awaiting whichever book you finish next
Good Luck and Good Health to you, sir. I have (and have read) all of your books. I enjoy them immensely and re-read the April-Family Law series start to (so far) finish every time a new book comes out. I am sure I will get anything you write but you need to take care of yourself.
Well done indeed. I read both series again before reading this, and your writing just keeos getting better and better. Hope you are up to writing more! 🙂
I had a pause but this time next week I’ll be in a new home 600 miles away and in much better circumstances to write. I have 1100 words on April 14. – Mac’
Glad to hear you’re in better circumstances and hope you recover from your surgeries in fine condition. I’m not good with words but my wishes you have a comfortable and happy live going ahead. I’ve taken great delight in reading all of your books, thank you for that.
