I rather liked Here’s to the Future as a title but The Long View is good too! (FYI that is also the title of one of my favorite novels by F. M. Busby. Long out of print so no worries about confusing anyone.)

Why? Your earlier works have described a positive future based on individual personality, initiative and intelligence.
I fantasize that I could be one of those maintenance guys or a technician of some sort to be able to live a reasonable life off this planet.
Main characters? Yeah, sure I could in my wildest dreams live one of those realities. But, simply no. I could not deal with the drama that pursues them.
But a background support character? Easily imagined.
Thank you so much for creating this (potential) positive future for human kind.

Hopefully, you are still receiving enough personal and financial satisfaction to make the effort worthwhile. It seems to me, writing can be a thankless job, and I’m always selfishly grateful that anyone bothers, especially with serialised stories.
I’m happy with how Amazon treats me financially. I’d write if it was just for friends like fan fic. I have a fellow I’ve read for and he’s read for me Down Under – name of Leo Champion.
