I did a fairly extensive edit of “Down to Earth” today to bring it up to my current ability with spelling and grammar. I’m sure it’s not perfect. That’s unobtainium. You may have to ask for an update in your Amazon digital content list.
Mac, Amazon makes it really hard to figure out when there’s an update. I downloaded what seems like the version they have as current, but I have no idea if it is or not. There’s no date or copyright on it. I’m in about 4 chapters so far, and I’ve run across a bunch of slightly wrong word typos, so I’m not sure I have the latest or not. Did you insert a phrase I could search for that isn’t in the original?
I’ve noticed an updated cover photo, but can’t tell about the rest. One book was bad, really bad, so I started sending in punctuation errors, I haven’t noticed anything lately, on a rereading of the series, so definitely coming up to par.
Finished the April series, and going to read the family law series again, is there anything more to say, or is it almost done with? I can’t help but want more!
I am not fully sure if this is true for all devices but at least for Kindle reader for PC you will not get updates automatically. In my amazon account I have to go to “content and devices”. There will be a list of your books. Books that have an update, will have something like “Update available” below the book title. If you only want the updates for “Mackey Chandler” search for him in the search field. If you click the “Update available” link the updated book will be downloaded the next time you open the reader. Until now
the only method to get updates for all updated books I have found is to scroll through
the book list. If you have bought a lot of books this can quite a hassle.
I believe you are correct. But if it’s a hassle at least it is free and better than a print book that is forever. I wonder how many authors do updates?
Will the Audio book be updated as well? Also, I don’t see the message for “update available” when I go to my book list on Amazon (UK). I guess this means I need to re-read the whole series now! LOL
As a narrator I’m going to say no, because then the narrator will have to be paid per studio hour to make those changes to the audio, and it’s a long and pricey process.
Also, books are never taken straight to audio when published. By the time they get read aloud they have had time to have corrections made. They are 99% clean so to speak. I never make changes in the story line once it is published. The largest change I made was one time I had a ship in a fleet that had been left behind. As I recall it only needed corrected three places – two deleted references and a re-written paragraph.
For the love of God and all that is holy, PLEASE get the Foys off Earth before you retire! Okay let me be clearer, I know they got off earth, but I need to know how they did it. Thanks.

Amazon not showing update available for me yet.
Thanks for updating it. I’ll make sure to download the new version before my next reread.

I believe quite a few do, but it’s hard to keep up with them the way Amazon has it set up.

Are the April series available in audiobook? I haven’t seen them in Audible.
No, I’ve offered them but they are following a slow and steady business model – letting three or four books earn out before buying more.
The update is still not there, so where is it?
No idea. You do have to go ask for it.

It will happen.
